Meet The Team
Jack Wells
Jack is the owner and founder of KC Hounds, bringing over 20 years of baseball experience as both a competitor and student of the game. His collegiate journey began at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, before transferring to William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, where he pitched for both programs.
Throughout his career, Jack has immersed himself in the mechanics, strategy, and technology behind player development. As a Rapsodo-verified instructor, he leverages advanced data analytics to optimize pitching performance. His deep understanding of body movement allows him to help athletes refine their mechanics and maximize efficiency on the mound.
Driven by ambition and a dedication to the sport, Jack is committed to going the extra mile to help players unlock their full potential. Whether fine-tuning pitch movement or building long-term development strategies, he ensures every session is designed for growth, precision, and results.
Dawson Tweet
Coach Tweet has always been around the ball park playing lots of college baseball. He got his college career started at Mesabi Range college where he was a standout utility player earning several conference and regional awards. He then moved on to William Jewell college as a third basemen posting impressive numbers. He spent his summers playing in the WCBL in Canada posting record breaking seasons. He went as far as playing one season of semi professional baseball in Welland Ontario where he saw himself as a First Team All-Star at second base.
His coaching career started Fall of 2024 at Bismarck State College at the NJCAA Division II level. Coach Tweet helped the Mystics finish 2nd in the Region 13 Tournament. While also in North Dakota, coach Tweet coached all ages in one on one and group settings at the Ben Berg Baseball Academy. Coach Tweet has a great, futuristic outlook towards the game and will be helping with giving hitting & defensive lessons during his summer in KC.

What facilities are in The Pound?
KC Hounds provides access to state-of-the-art training facilities, including batting cages, pitching tunnels, classrooms, a fully equipped weight room, and advanced technology such as Trackman and HitTrax—all designed specifically to support the development of our teams.
Can I use The Pound facilities if I am apart of another program?
Of course! KC Hounds Pound facilities are open to all other travel programs that may need use of a space! KC Hound teams will have priority but open slots can be designated towards other programs. Contact us below to find out when facilities are available
Do KC Hound players have access to facilities outside of team or individual events?
Yes, KC Hounds allow its' members to use our facilities at their convenience as long as availability is open in the facility. Contact us to found out when is best to come in and train on your own!
Are travel fees included in the packages?
Travel expenses are not included in our packages. Families are responsible for coordinating transportation to games, tournaments, and practices. If you need assistance with planning or logistics, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re happy to help you find the best solution for your family.
What age groups does KC Hounds provide services to?
KC Hounds is looking at initially serving the 14U-18U age groups. As we continue to build we plan on offering teams to younger age groups as well!
When does KC Hounds plan on being open & operating?
The KC Hounds travel baseball team and facilities plan on beginning operations in the fall of 2026!
